Chile - Sunset over Licancabur volcano by Iwona Witkowska Via Flickr: Licancabur volcano (5920 m above sea level) is locaed on the border between Chile and Bolivia. The summit crater is about 400 m wide and contains a 70 by 90 m crater lake, Lago Licancabur, which is ice-covered most of the year. This is one of the highest lakes in the world. The whole Atacama desert, where the volcano is located, has magnificent colours which are most spectacular during sunrises and sunsets.
