Sooo apparently my tablet pen DOES work without its button. The reason it wasn't working for a while wasn't because its button was gone, but because when I dropped it, it screwed up the battery somehow, at the same time.

Soooo I jury-rigged it a new button by carving an old eraser to shape and securing it with drafting tape... jury rig everything~!

And I created a larger base for the pen holder because damn, you could probably just sigh at that pen holder and it'd fall down. The shitty thing's frequent tipping over tendency is the reason the pen fell and broke to begin with. :I

I'm really glad it's all working now! Wahoo~

Could Calamity (or somepony with a similar talent with machines) interconnect a Recollector with a speaker in such a way as to create a thought to speech translator?

I have no idea, you’d have to ask him. I’m a fair hoof at sewing and cobbling, but full on invention and jury-rigging of that level is way beyond what I can do.
