I keep reading the fake memories prompt over and over and trying my best not to cry or laugh thank you thank you it's too good to be true and it's too good to not become a full Novel length fic. I can just imagine Percy hearing that Jason and piper also had the fake memories shit and are now dating for real and just drags then because gods I need your help and they ask for context of their relationship and by the time he's finished, they're like: what kind of telenovela drama worthy stuff is this?
What would happen next? Would Percy and Annabeth fall to Tartarus? Would Nico fall with Percy instead? If it's like canon I can imagine the cupid scene with Jason changing and Jason thinking oh gods it's mutual pining. How would their happy ending happen?
I mean, if someone wants to write it, they are more than welcome to (as with any of the prompts I recieve), but a lot of plot points I would come up with would be too similar to my fic Love is not Soft and Fluffy for my liking, so I'd have to pass on writing a full-length fic of that one (I may do another scene if I get a prompt about it, though).
Still, if you'd like a summary of what I'd do...
Yes, during the trip to Rome, Percy would hound Jason and Piper about their relationship. Whether they even like each other if they didn't have these memories of a relationship that didn't exist. Piper would be the one to tell him that she's not sure if the feelings are real, but that she wants to pursue things with Jason because she does like him, and wants to find out if it can be more. If it's already more. Jason never finds out it's Nico they are talking about.
I would have Percy choose Nico, of course, because he realizes that he cannot focus on Annabeth at all while Nico is in danger. He tells Annabeth this during their Italian lunch in Rome, and Annabeth leaves for the Mark of Athena distraught.
When they rescue Nico, he is avoiding Percy, so he can't get him alone to talk about it before Annabeth does her thing and blows up a hole to Tartarus.
Percy, who still loves Annabeth (but is no longer in love with her), goes in to save her, and falls with her, promising Nico to see him on the other side. Nico takes this as proof that, with his memories back, he chose Annabeth.
Percy's trek through Tartarus stays mostly the same, but there's a talk between him and Annabeth, and he tells her everything. Annabeth and him break up properly, and while there's some hard feelings, their friendship is stronger than any romance they may had lost.
Nico's encounter with Cupid is different. It would be revealed that it was him that planted the fake memories. Not as a prank, but to have Nico accept his feelings. A twisted way of "helping". Nico rages at him, but admits that yes, he accepts who he is now. He loves Percy, and he hates himself for it.
Jason puts two and two together, but no matter what he says, Nico is convinced Percy chose Annabeth.
The story would end after the two reunite after Tartarus. Percy would catch him as he's tying up the Athena Parthenos, and tell him how his memories had barely been altered. How it just needed a little kiss here and there and he never even questioned that they were together.
Nico would ask about Annabeth, and Percy would admit that he loves her, but it's Nico who keeps him going, and that their promise was what made him survive Tartarus.
He loves Nico, and maybe he always did, and wants them to go back to being boyfriends like those few days back in New Rome.
Nico accepts, reluctantly, but filled with hope, and makes him promise again, to come back alive and he would do the same.
Their real story together has yet to begin, after all.
During a family trip to Kong’s Landing, Jon loses Ghost and Ghost lives the life of a street hound. Unfortunately, the local citizens confuse him for a giant wolf and he’s on the run from animal control. Will Ghost be able to reunite with his family or will he be doomed to a life of fleas and sub par human food for the rest of his life?
NYC as a whole is twenty times more exhausting that I’d planned. Kentucky doesn’t really have public transportation, so taking the subway was a huge culture shock to me. But I loved getting to walk everywhere and getting to see all of the neat art and buildings and whatnot.
Brooklyn - MY FAVORITE PLACE!!!!!!!! My bff lives in Brooklyn and I was surrounded by so many little communities, it was inspiring and amazing. We walked to Coney Island and saw so many cute dogs!!!! We also walked the Brooklyn Bridge on a separate day, and it was neat to see Manhattan from that perspective.
Manhattan - I loved Wall Street. I loved the WTC. I got to see the Village Vanguard, Smalls, and Blue Note clubs!! I snatched a Sam Smith poster. I really liked Midtown, too. We went to the Guggenheim and it was everything the little indie art film nerd inside of me had hoped.
New Brunswick - strange, but I loved it and I loved getting to see my friend play jazz.
Just finished reading 1872. Bucky and Natasha was married in this universe but unfortunately Natasha is a widow😭. She avenges his Death and saves the town with Redwolf,Bruce Banner, and Tony Stark.
1: sleep for a total of three to five hours over the span of a minimum of two full days
2: get on a sleep-deprivation high and start babling
3: get on a sleep-deprivation low as soon as you step into the studio. Internal shaking + calm exterior. A bonus - your eyes can start crossing
4: get a coffee to right your mess (but also fuck your central nervous system up) and start pinning up your work
5: the coffee didn’t do shit to wake you up. And your entire body is jittery. You’re anxious for no reason and can’t stand still. Very tired. Your heart beats wildly in your chest as you receive feedback from your professor. You can’t hear any of what they’re saying. Pro tip: start a voice memo on your phone so you can listen to it later
6: get a ride home because you can’t drive in your sorry ass state
