I’m not cut out for horror movies😭😭
thinking abt how we know next to nothing about the Tanizaki siblings + Kunikida's backstories from before they joined the agency and I just think it would be very cool and neat if Kunikida being a part-time math tutor and the Tanizakis being students were somehow connected hhhmmmmmm
didn't Joel say the amnesia joke in the second game? still watching the dlc and Ellie just got the joke book and one of the jokes is "I had a joke about amnesia, but I forgot how it goes." doesn't Joel say a similar one in the second game? like during one of the flashbacks? or at the beginning of the game? I think it was "Tommy told me a joke about amnesia, but I forgot it"? I think it was that one
if i could point to one single moment and say “this is where the dsmp started facing issues”, it’d be the introduction of the lives system after november 16th.
before, you had all these fun little goofs, characters dying or killing each other for the bit, just fucking around. but with the lives system, every little death caused chat to be filled with “omg was that canon???” to the point that it became a meme. that meant that there was a much clearer divide between what was “canon” and what was just for fun, making the plot seem increasingly disconnected. with lmanberg and pogtopia, ccs could fuck around while still having the central plot lurking in the background. it all still built up to something. after the lives system, this happened increasingly less.
but sure, the rules of the game changed, and that’s fine! but then limbo and ghosts got introduced. and then revival got introduced. death went from permanent, to less consequential, to basically not mattering at all. there’s no stakes anymore. any consequences will inevitably be reversed. while i was one of the people begging for c!wilbur to be revived well before revival was confirmed in the story, i really think he should’ve stayed dead. it would have given the characters a central tragedy to truly reflect on as the story became more character focused through exile. and dream going to prison would have been a natural ending point to the story surrounding tommy and dream.
but alas, there’s no stakes anymore. everything gets reversed. and i think that’s where the central frustration for a lot of dsmp fans lies. the dsmp doesn’t have to be this big narrative if the ccs don’t want it to be. but there’s a constant buildup of conflict, only for the conflict to either get dropped or have zero consequences at the end of the day, and from an audience perspective, it just sucks.
Hey like what if like what if Scourge had that one good day
These guys are gonna make me forget how to draw faces lol. I changed henry's hair and I'm much happy with that. I freaking adore them so much TwT
