Need to put this out there.

pick the damn pencil up. Sure it’s scary. Sure you might not like it. But for crying out loud, it will always be better than AI. it will always be better than not trying at all. Make a mess of the drawing. Hate it. Love it. You’re trying. You’re making an effort. That’s what people care about. Spend hours on a drawing. Take the time to learn anatomy. Take the time to study the shading techniques. Take the time. Make yourself proud. Don’t be scared. Let go of the fear, let yourself feel for the drawing. Let yourself develop a style. Don’t just copy the reference, add to it. Make it look messy, make it look you. Make it look intriguing, make people ask questions, put so much effort into it that even if it looks bad you still love it.

Comic making always scares me because I read so so many guides and books about how to make it I thought there’s a strict rule on what you can and can’t do

There’s no rules, if it’s readable then it’s good comic

Hot take but don’t watch tutorials if you want to start making comics, jump straight into it, and when you want to improve then go watch all the guide n’ stuff, comic tutorials are one of the scariest thing in this world
