A lot has been made of how season 2 suffered from the budget cuts, from not having enough time to fully explore the characters and relationships. But in spite of it all, perhaps the most complicated, interior, and subtle arc of season 2, Ed's exploration of his fractured identities and struggle to integrate the different parts of himself, is crystal clear yet never over-wrought. I am in awe of the skillful writing and Taika's moving, nuanced performance.

That's me thinking Picrew offered blending mode... It doesn't. 1 stripe pattern meant actually 3 files of different colours, all touched up by hand because all the ears were individual because I'm dumb, and they had to match... then each saved, individually clicking through a big old tree of menus to help batch uploads... and then uploaded, over file by file, sometimes by colour, lucky me...

So 12 stripes meant 36 files and ahahahahahahaahah... no.

Doing this picrew I gained mad respect for the larger, more complex ones out there, especially matching complex hair.

I've had some very kind people ask for a Na'vi one, but the time/investment/madness, is straight up not worth it. I'm glad I did it, mind you, and I'm surprised I managed to do it at all, but it was soooo much mind numbing work. And that was with friends helping for the background and tattoos!

I'm literally stressed out just thinking about Na'vi jewelery and hairstyles... I joked to a friend I'd do it when I reach 50£ on kofi. Since I didn't get anything, it's a good excuse not to lol

I'll wait for Avatar 3 to flood my system with serotonine to consider it.

But it's been a real joy seeing people share their recoms on twitter! So soooo many OCs, far more than I expected! It's very sweet. I'm glad you've had fun with it!!

I just finished watching the finale and I'm a crying mess.

I want to say thank you Dana Terrace, thank you for the Owl House.

I know it is stupid to get worked up, I am older than Dana is but I don't think a show has ever touched my heart as much as the Owl House did. These shows matter, for both the young and the young at heart.

Ah I'm rambling, just thank you everyone from Dana Terrace and the creators, to the wonderful community who I shared this show with, to the wonderful characters that I don't think I could ever forget.

The Owl House is and was very special and while there will probably never be another show like it to me, I hope it won't be the last.

Today I finished Elden Ring, having spent some 250 hours on my first playthrough since early March. I have so many nice things to say about it, but I’ll try to keep it short. What an adventure. What a game. I’ve never played a Fromsoftware game before but damn what a polished gaming experience. Just the rich level of detail in both visuals and gameplay mechanics *chef’s kiss*. This game sets a standard for sure. 

I’ve always loved difficult games, I love boss fights that I don’t get on the first try. I want to die repeatedly as I learn how the fight mechanics go and then conquer the challenge. And boy does Elden Ring deliver on that. You could describe the game as unforgiving due to its difficulty, but in a way it’s the opposite because you’re allowed to fail and fail and fail until you suddenly succeed, through hard work, patience, and focus. The game also delivers on character creation and fashion (very important). I’m a little in love with my wizard astrologer 👉👈

anyway 10/10 GOTY2022 etc. I couldn’t recommend it enough.
