Which is why once I get the urge to write a character, especially as a pov character, for a brand new show... I will completely stop reading fics about them and in their pov. I don't want my vision altered or my voice changed. I'll read other fics though, and once mine are far along or my perception of the character feels very solid, I'll expend.

Can everyone who makes video content do a Deaf bitch a favor? Watch your shit with the captions on and the sound off, and then do another round of editing to fix things including but not limited to:

Captions cover the spot on the screen you put the information I need

The dialogue is captioned but not the song you have playing that the dialogue is responding to

You only captioned the person on the screen, not the person off screen who is also talking

No captioning of critical sound effects (alarms, bells, dogs barking, etc)

Speakers are not labelled at moments where it is not clear on the screen who is talking.

Captions cover the spot on the screen that you put the information I need!

Just saw Backrooms and it was very good! Genuinely creepy, got genuinely stressed, but also like, wow? It looked very pretty. Very well shot. It has a lot of character!

I'm not a fan, as in, I'm not in the backrooms fandom. I'm aware of it and seen people play various backrooms/liminal spaces games. I've seen a single video about the analysis of a light pulled from the backrooms, which I think is Kane's work.

So really not biased. I'm very, very impressed with his work. The acting was incredible. Chiwetel was a stand out. Everyone's good but he was excellent.

If you're hesitant because it's not a thing you know the lore of, don't fret at all. No need to have any prior knowledge.
