Nem láttam jönni, h egy monumentális fuckup miatt az egész részleg kézi adatbevitelre lesz beosztva (menedzserek, senior dev-ek, mindenki)
Ennyit arról h a gépek átveszik a munkámat
Hey, I’m just wondering how do you get those clips from IT chapter 2??
Can’t fool me, FB*
Bruv, Imma need you to fucking chill. I told you I was turning around. It is FUCKING SNOWING! HALFWAY TO BLIZZARD CONDITIONS! I WILL GET THERE!
And I did, too. In like 20 minutes. Only to find out that the MAL WAS ON AIRPLANE MODE!!!!!
I work in IT, in a food processing plant. Many of my coworkers speak English as a second or even third language. I can understand a bit of Spanish and a bit of Kreyol.
So, Es, a native Spanish speaker in the maintenance department, comes to my office with an issue I think I have already fixed. But we want to be sure.
Me: let's be sure. What's the system id number on the unit?
Es: not sure, let me ask Sicario (not his real name.) Sicario, Sicario, cual es el numero de sistema para la MAL?
Sicario over the walkie: no comprendo no comprendo
Es, slower: cual es el numero de sistema para la MAL
Sicario, again: No comprendo no comprendo!
Es, to me: what does he mean he doesn't understand? What's so hard?
Me: I don't even speak Spanish, and I understood.
Es, fighting laughter, slow as one can speak: Cuaaaal eeehsss Eehl nuuuuumero de sisteeehma para la Ehm Ehy Eehl?
Sicario, finally getting it together: Oh! 76!
Es smacks his forehead: Ugh. That took way too long.
So.... apparently I am in time out with dialup-esq data right now seeing as I spent nearly all my data this month watching Zach Bagins yell at abandonded buildings.
Do I have regrets? Eh.
Was it worth it? Well... it kept me from falling asleep at work.
Am I going to learn my lesson about DOWNLOADING options vs just straightup streaming over data?
Probably not.
having a completely normal day and by that i almost called a troubleshooter the troubleshitter
