the pitt has such incredible writing because in every conflict you can see both sides. langdon is overly harsh on santos but he’s not wrong about her not being a team player and endangering patients by going around the chain of command. robby should not be using a mean nickname behind his employee’s back, and she is a great doctor, but mohan does take too much time with each patient which slows everyone else down and makes them pick up the slack. mckay is right to emphasize the potential danger that david poses but robby is also right to not want to get the cops involved for no reason. even up until the very end, gloria has a point about the danger of using unscreened blood but we know why they did it. every argument and disagreement highlights what a difficult job this is and the catch-22 that emergency medicine workers are in to provide a high level of care and deal with the range of possibilities that come through their doors, all while being understaffed and overworked
