sometimes i think about little mac praying to god to not make him queer and then i remind myself this is a situation comedy. there is nothing comedic about this situation

okay there are about 500 million things to say about tonight’s episode but one of those things I think is that mac’s “straight guy” persona scored the highest with the audience score and made him want to lean into that more. how do we think this is going to affect him moving forward considering how depressed he’s been lately finding no joy in anything when suddenly it’s shown to him that people do like him but only the “straight” version of him. I think this is going to make him feel even less comfortable with himself as an out and proud gay man and i’m scared to see what that’ll mean for him 😓

What if reader was asexual and didn’t want kids? How would wukong and maqace react?

well, macaque understands. he and reader, they've been through a lot together, and he gets it if she doesn't want to...be with him in that way, or have kids. maybe he did want to start a family at some point, and reader's the only one he trusts enough to do that with...but he's willing to put what he wants on the back burner if it makes reader happy. he's just glad they're both alive and relatively safe, up until the time that wukong's freed.

wukong, on the other hand, had always planned on having kids with reader from the moment he decided she'd be his. and, being the sadistic despot that he is, he'd give reader two options: "you lay with me and let me give you my babies, OR i murder your beloved macaque and anyone else who happens to be in my way! :) your choice :)"

(you KNOW this guy is gonna hold the safety of the world over readers head whenever he feels like it. if he learns that maybe she had buddies in a village somewhere while she and mac were on the run? hoo buddy their lives are gonna be in danger constantly)

The film burns, both literally and figuratively into Mac’s retinas, giving him a memory that he’ll never be able to forget.

Mac already remembered working and tinkering with his dad. It was one of the few times that he really felt like he could’ve had a relationship with the man. One of the times that made Mac really understand what other people had with their parents.

Usually, it’d be without a lecture, just James and Mac working side by side on an engine, or whatever his dad brought home that day.

But apparently that memory isn’t his alone.

Because at some point, Matty watched it like it was her own life.

Staring at the two of them.

The chill from the deck seeps in, and a shiver turns into cramping muscles. He probably shouldn’t have left medical so quickly, but the recovered film was too alluring.

Now, Mac wishes that he was still in a bed, warm and comfy, Jack by his side.

Without his own control, Mac pops his knuckles, still staring at the projector, now nothing more than a giant night light slowly attracting moths.

Matty knew his dad.

Or at least knows about him.

But why? James was an engineer, an inventor. Mac would’ve known if he was involved in the CIA or any other part of the government. Getting in trouble never stopped him from snooping around James’ study.

He would’ve known.

Matty said she’d help him find his dad. Pull some favors just for him.

But right now, it seems like she’s just making him run around and chase his tail. After Thorton, he really should’ve expected something like this.

And the worst part is, Mac doesn’t even know who he should trust. Who he can trust. He can’t even tell the truth from a lie anymore.

All from fourteen seconds of broken film.
