The Flatshare is such a lovely book!
Might be one of my favorite sentences I’ve ever written
now what?
That amazing feeling you get when you've just finished and amazing book. It's like your really sad But really happy. And It's overwhelming And I love it
the goofiest smile is on my face right now
"You're not keeping it?" Mark interrupts. Because, seriously, a lot of zeroes. Wardo stares at him, slightly incredulous. "Um, no?" he says. "Why would I?" He might have somewhat forgiven his pai, but that doesn't mean Wardo wants anything from the man either. Mark stares back at him, a strange expression on his face. "You - this isn't anywhere close to what I have, but it's a lot. You could live off of it for the rest of your life." "Well, yeah," Wardo agrees. "But it's not like I need it. And if I don't need it, and I don't want it, I should just give it away." Like it's that simple. "Well, I guess I could keep a little to play around with - I never told you how I funded Hector and Sean's bail money way back, did I? It's been a while since I paid close attention to oil futures -" The strange expression on Mark's face is morphing into something less confused, more satisfied. He steals some of Wardo's coffee and grimaces at the taste, and eats his toast. Wardo gestures energetically as he talks.
