it was a hallmark of the 2010s and we're halfway through the 20's and people are still doing this.
cut that fucking shit out. your social media presence isn't a measure of your activism and you're not getting brownie points for leveraging people's guilt for more clicks and engagement.
spend that energy organizing locally, supporting local groups in whatever way you can--even donations, reposting/spreading the word about upcoming events, town halls, marches, donation drives, etc.
basically: put up, or shut up.
and if people aren't making activism their entire personality online, LEAVE THEM BE. you don't know their life. focus on what you can actually control instead.
