There she lay, on her stomach with her nose pushed into a fresh bowl of kibble. Several chomps were given to devour the food but such a delicious activity was halted when a thud was heard. Ears perked, perhaps it was the puppies with their father but the fact the thud was so loud to be heard in another room detoured such a harmless thought. Pushing herself up, tongue lapping at her jaws  momentarily, she made her way toward the living room only to find a vase had been knocked over. “Oh dear, I told you all to be careful!”

It was early morning in the Radcliffe household and Patch was already up making his way towards the door being careful not to cause any of his brothers or sisters to stir as he stepped between them. The Thursday morning Thunderbolt hour was about to begin at 6 AM sharp and he didn’t want to miss a minute of it. “Almost to the door.” He mused as he narrowed his eyes. “This is just like episode 13 where Thunderbolt had to go and make it through the Cave of No Return that was in the Abandoned Mine Area.” As Patch was lost in his own little fantasy, he didn’t realize he had stepped on one of his sibling’s tails which caused the other puppy to yelp out in surprise. Around 200 pairs of eyes looked up and glared at him snapping Patch out of his daydream when he heard the cry.

“PATCH!” they all cried in unison. “You didn’t have to wake us ALL up y’know…” Freckles muttered as he laid back down. “Stuck in another day dream?” “Probably one about Thunderbolt again.” “Yeah, I bet he’s thinking about how cool his bark is when it actually sounds like a squeaky toy!” An eruption of laughter filled the room at the last of  his siblings’ comments, though Patch didn’t exactly think it was all that funny. All the pup did was glare at the lot of them before heading outside of the room. As he made his way downstairs, Patch tried his best to hold back oncoming tears. He was so sick and tired of being teased, about his bark, his love of Thunderbolt and of course his dream which was wanting to be Thunderbolt's sidekick,
