"Astrid, what in the name of Sithis was this about?!" It's practically a snarl that falls from the Argonian's lips as Nor slams a slip of paper onto the table in front of the woman. Astrid herself seems to be only mildly irritated as she glances down at the parchment, an action which serves to only infuriate Nor further as he leans closer with a growl. "Why did you not tell me you had sent someone after Allryn?"
"This is the man I share my home with, a man I trust with my daughter's wellbeing and safety. How could you do this without-"
"Nor!" A shift as the assassin straightens from her spot, a deep glower becoming apparent on her features. The motion is more than enough to shock the Argonian into silence, Nor taking an almost half-step back in turn as he stares back at her. It's enough to elicit a strained sounding sigh from Astrid, one hand kneading at the Nord's forehead for a moment. "I thought you better than this, Nor. How many contracts, how many letters, how many orders have I signed for you? And you still don't know my handwriting?"
The slightest furrowing of Nor's brow, the assassin's gaze swiftly shifting down to stare at the paper once more. And it is shortly after that the Argonian's shoulders droop. No... No, that couldn't... Another swift glance up at Astrid, the attempt to backpedal clear on his features. That wasn't her handwriting, not even close, and Nor could scarcely believe he'd let his emotions sway him into thinking it was. "Astrid, I... I didn't mean..."
A hand stops the Argonian mid-sentence, Astrid not caring nor needing to hear any more. "It's a forgery, and a sloppy one at that." A slight narrowing of her eyes as she stares back at Nor. "I have been... made aware of a few more like these, whispers and quiet happenings. And none that I've signed off on. But this is the first one I have had a chance to see with my own eyes." An almost disgusted look as the parchment is gingerly picked up, the assassin's eyes glancing over it once again before they return to Nor. "I want you to look into this. Find out who is composing these and for what reason, and once you have done that I want you to end them. Let them know what it means to step on the Brotherhood's toes in such a manner."
"Yes, yes Astrid, I will. Right away." A downcast and clearly apologetic turning of Nor's features as he steps back. "I am sorry, I did not mean to-"
Another motion of a hand. "I do not want your excuses, Brother. You want to apologize to me, then deal with this and come home." The Nord leans back into her previous position, returning to the work she'd been absorbed in before Nor had come to her. "I look forward to hearing how these fools begged for leniency once you found them."
