Hi guys!

I know I’ve been dead for a while, (though it’s not uncommon for me to be on long hiatuses lol), but I wanted to do at least a little check in!

I’ve started EMT schooling and ride alongs (hell yeah), and I have been enjoying it a lot! The world is a scary place (and full of dumbasses) but there’s a lot of love an community to be had. I’m glad to be doing it.

The only problem is- I litereally have had no time to do much art or writting at the moment *bangs head against wall* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I am literally melting at the lack of making things. BUT I do have a few projects in the works like a animatic, a 2nd part to the anologue horror and a few new chapters of Scarlet Ties in the middle ground of completion. I’m sure that when I’ve changed jobs and things settle down a bit, I’ll be at least a little more present, but I thought I should at least put this out there- If anything my POVs for Ratchet should be a little more accurate with how many salty ass medics (affectionatly) there are out here + the Horrors.

Anyway- that all for now!

The Pedestal

Do you know why the unattractive girls gets the hot guy? Because she leveled with the hot guy. She saw him as nothing more than just a person, a guy just like every other dude. She wasn't concerned with how she looked to him or what she said to him, she was unapologetically herself and that confidence is the reason she got the hot guy. This is the same reason why it's so difficult to date because when we see an attractive person, or an intelligent person, or a rich person; we put that person on a pedestal. We give them that shiny throne and kiss their feet because we want them to adore us as much as we adore them. This is also the same fucking reason why girls are so catty and so rude to each other. We project our insecurities of the hot girl, the smart girl, the fun girl; and we unintentionally put her on a pedestal and question ourselves. "why is she so pretty or so hot or so smart? Why can't I be like that? Why she get everything?" If we change our outward view on others, we change how we interact and socialize. We become more welcoming, more open, and more approachable. We don't have to be the one on the pedestal because we don't need that shiny throne! THROW THAT SHIT AWAY. all you need to know is, she/he is just another person. No better and no less than you. Level with that person, learn, listen, and share. You can give and receive so much when we take the time to step back and see just. another. person.
