Dean didn’t even have a chance to ask the girl what she was yelling about before a pair of bright, yellow lights locked on him. Without thought, he slammed his body to the ground, right in between a set of tires. “Asshole,” he muttered once the car had passed over him. The driver hadn’t even slowed down. “Thanks for the warning,” he puffed, adrenaline still coursing through his veins.
Phoe gasped as the man she had tried to warn dropped to the ground, the car passing over him in the blink of an eye. Stepping out into the street she saw him move to get up. Turning towards the receding car, her middle finger already up to flip off the bastard, screaming. “ASSHOLE!”
Lowering her arm she checked the street for more cars she stepped out, walking over to the fallen man and offering him her hand. “Are you okay? That. Was. Awesome!”
