BACON!! For those of us that can enjoy the questionable nutrition that bacon provides, waking up to the smell of it in the morning. Now there is an app, in the making at least, that will allow you to smell bacon as your alarm goes off. The sizzly aroma is paired with a soothing voice that "whispers sweet nothings" about bacon. How does this relate to mass media? Besides having a potential effect on bacon sales, this app shows us that the boundaries of cellphones and digital media have been and can be pushed even further. I'd prefer to push some bacon in between some eggs and cheese but that's not the point. Being available on a MOBILE device means that this app can be downloaded at any time. Bacon is very popular and appeals to a demassified audience. Also, smells coming out of phones? C'MON! Definitely a first and in my opinion definitely worth a try.
