I think it’s sad that Hayley can’t even get proper mad at Elijah for killing those girls. Not when we’ve seen how Hayley was so emotionally charged when she fought Klaus in 3x02 or every other Klaus and Hayley conflict scenes. The writers want to give H.ylijah some ‘bumps’ in the relationship but can’t even write them properly or have it make sense. That’s why their dynamic is so subpar compared to Klayley.
What’s them without Klaus or Hope? Just making out and sleeping together? Because that’s all I’ve seen. Elijah can’t be a father figure not when he’s still in a vampire’s body. You need to either be human or a werewolf in order to be parental figures and good ones at that. It’s why Rebekah wanted out of her body and why Klaus failed with Marcel.
Hayley wasn’t even that emotional when Elijah was going to sacrifice himself. And at the end Elijah was going to make amends with Marcel not because he wants to but because she denied his go-to excuse and he doesn’t want to lose her. Plus it’s the only way to get Hayley to settle down in that stupid village he wants to be happy with.
He could’ve tried the whole time when he was with Marcel. I don’t even feel sorry that he got stabbed by Sofya. Like he could’ve called Marcel to see if he was home but no. He was hoping Marcel wasn’t home so he could sneak in, leave the dagger and let Hayley assume everything is roses and bloom and she’ll sleep with him.
And next week everyone will put aside their anger and hatred at him just to save him and they’ll force his 'redemption’ down our throats. He doesn’t deserve it. I get that Hope needs her father and mother. But Hope needs her uncle too? Nope. There’s another one. I don’t want Elijah to die by the way. Just want him to go wherever Rebekah and Kol went. Alone. And without his 'pretend’ family. Hope and Hayley aren’t his responsibility.
And don’t tell me she’s going to that village when her home is in New Orleans and Klaus and her had wanted Hope to grow up in the city they love. So they’re just going to send Hope to the magic school while Hayley rides off into the sunset with Elijah? Right.
