“James?...Daniel?” She didn’t know someone had come into the bookshop. She’d been far too busy with Nimue. She shuffled behind a bookcase, looking around the corner. “Hello?”

Downtime
Cherry was happy to no longer have a leash around her neck or try to figure out the mayor's topsy tervy moods. She'd never felt less like herself so she longed to spend time with the people who never failed to remind her who she was. She walked into the antique shop and was greeted with the snorty barking on Nimue. Cherry grinned and knelt down, scooping the puppy up into her arms. @justcallmecogsworth
“Cherry,” Norris voice cut through Cherry’s thoughts as she mindlessly set up a platter in the window for pick up. Her heart was still bleeding, but dinner rush had helped keep her from breaking down. She looked up at the sharp featured woman and saw her fork a thumb out to the front room. “You’ve got business,”
That was usually code for someone who was paying for reasons other than food. She couldn’t handle that right now. She didn’t want to be with anyone right now. She wanted to call Herc and figure out how she’d screwed up so badly. She took off her apron and slipped to the front of the house where she saw James and Daniel. They were standing there, James looking around at the crowd dubiously, and Daniel like the cat that smiled the canary. They were surprising her. She’d never been so happy to see her best friends. She rushed forward and nearly tackled James, the man she’d known the longest and was her usual shoulder to cry on.
“I messed up. I messed up so bad,” She said wetly into bookshop owner’s shoulder.

Cherry was excited when she flounced out of The Pomegranate and Peach. She quickly made her way down the familiar darkened streets and Alleys to her favorite place other than James’ bookshop.
Cherry pressed her nose against the glass plane in the door and knocked. She cupped her hands around her eyes, looking for movement when she saw the silhouette of her friend. Grinning, Cherry waved at him before backing up enough to let Daniel open the door.
