it's easy to just call puddle my project-sona, but I've been using puddle online for about 12 years!! they're a genderfluid slime person and a 'reflection' of myself for my autobios and personal work- I also use their design for comic tip videos here and there on youtube.
also somewhere on there is the original lore of puddle and all the variations they went through before I started developing xko! (10-ko, my 10th sona variation)
my first concepts for xko looked a lot more puddle-like. the way I see it now is that xko spent the last decade trying to blend in as close to people as possible- the result of that being Puddle as we know them today: a humanoid cartoonist slime just doin their best!! but trying to keep 'together' gets exhausting quick- sometimes energy levels are harder to control and puddle has to take a break, or excitement runs a bit high and xko pops back out.
just as xko can become puddle, I got sooo many other variants, too!! they're all the same character, but they're also... not? they have some different priorities, interests, preferences, comfort levels- some understand they're xko, some don't know* (or know for sure). they're all still a part of xko.

I also tend to put my sonas together into a cocktail shaker and mix them up, design-wise. it's fun to draw them all on top of each other inhabiting the same body and end up with a dog with 6 ears. how did it take so long to find out I had a dissociative disorder lol
right now I'm blowin the dust off my first fursona design koda, pomo🍅, and a scrapped side design I've had to combine them into a new variant for an adult anthology comic 😋
I also have lwam and street magic but I can't talk about them without spoiling their stories 😭
