Eminem - Just Don't Give A Fuck Lyrics

L’esthétique du saccage ? La maladie de deux siècles qui se chevauchent à la date de l’album “Slim Shady” ? De cette maladie faite de narcissisme, de haine de soi, de haine tout court, sommes-nous tous atteints ? Dans le titre proposé ici, le sens du refrain n’échappe à personne. Et ça fait du bien, aux heures de colère. Mais après ?

Je ne supporte pas Eminem, et je l’aime bien en même temps. Je le crois très intelligent et très con, fou et génial. Je suppose qu’il est resté un gosse qui sait nous émouvoir, rallier notre sympathie, aussi pourri ou plutôt, aussi tordu soit-il. Comme le constatait l’abbé Menou-Segrais dans Sous le soleil de Satan, le mal se transmet de génération en génération. Ainsi les névroses, les dépressions, les suicides. Sur ce volet, l’héritage d’Eminem est aussi chargé qu’un gros pétard ou qu’un gros flingue. Enfant, sa mère versait quand même du Valium dans ses petits pois…

Il s’est fait haïr de Michael Jackson, de Britney Spears, de Madonna qu’il a copieusement humiliés ou attaqués dans ses chansons… Quel intérêt, tout cela ? Aucun. Mais la musique pop est essentielle à nos vies. Elle est une de nos respirations essentielles, et… Eminem y reste incontournable, ne cessant de produire et de créer.

Je ne deviens pas homophobe parce que j’écoute “Marshall Mathers”. Ou si ? Quand j’entends “My name is Marshall Mathers…”, je ne perçois que la jolie mélodie qui m’émeut, la plainte d’un gamin. Ensuite, pendant le rap, le sens immonde des paroles m’échappe (pures insultes homophobes, entre autres), mon oreille ne décode pas ce débit qui m’épate, me séduit. Mais ces paroles sont-elles la pensée d’Eminem, ou celle de Slim Shady, son double ? Le bon alibi ! 

Quand on sait l’énormité des ventes du rappeur (plus de 225 millions de disques vendus dans le monde), on ne peut qu’être effaré de la mentalité de tant de jeunes et maintenant moins jeunes Américains. Eminem, c’est quand même le gars qui chante sur scène, en 2000, un titre dans lequel il assassine, et met en scène l’assassinat de son ex-femme, Kim, qui tente alors de se suicider (en vrai, pas sur la scène !) En 2004, ils se remettent ensemble. En 2006, ils divorcent à nouveau. Qui les comprend ?

Eminem est aujourd’hui un producteur, un créateur, un papa chargé d’un enfant naturel et de deux enfants adoptés. C’est un militant pro-Obama et anti-Trump. C’est quelqu’un qui a fait monter sur scène Elton John avec lui pour démentir son homophobie… Olivier Cachin juge, quant à lui, que ce personnage est la « personne que vous aimez haïr »…

Aiight y’all so let’s talk about some #Vinyl #Records - this one in particular means a lot to me and I was super lucky enough to grab it in the wrong sleeve in a bargain bin somewhere for $1 , it’s the #single #justdontgiveafuck by #hiphop #rap legend #Eminem from his mainstream debut #album #theslimshadylp . This track is wild, which is what I’ve always loved about it since I was a kid, just the pure unorthodoxness of the lyrics, with a direct and fed up delivery that was in spirit of battle rap but on a whole different level due to the mind bending, funny, outlandish subject matters. It’s like a middle finger to the naysayers crossed with an acid dipped self portrait on a therapist couch. The beat on here has always been one of my #favorites as well with its #boombap drums clashing against a haunted circus type melody in the background painting the portrait of just a dark clown show where the laughing has ceased and it starts getting kinda scary. I love it.
