Worse character in ff7 series for the mun

I’m probably gonna get mad hate for this and it’s probably the most unpopular opinion too..

Lucrecia Crescent.

By far the worse character. Any other ShinRa related character? Nope, don’t got shit on this woman. I remember when I played DoC and my mild dislike turned into just flat out unbridle hate. Just don’t feel there’s nothing much redeemable about her. In the old school game, figured she was just used by Hojo for the most part and just couldn’t stand up for herself in the least. But, with Vincent’s flashback’s and having a far more clear picture of everything? It’s pretty gross. The game seemed to try to get you to sympathize with her, but I couldn’t. I say, No my good sir.

Especially when indirectly killing Vincent’s father as well even if she did felt guilt for it and tried to keep her distance from him because of it. You had one job.

Honestly, Lucrecia served to really be nothing more than a plot device. Vincent mentioning how kind she was, but would a kind and caring person do the list of stock pile bull shit? Characters are allowed to have flaws, but to me it made no sense. Everything she done was pretty suspect. At one point I was feeling like her being ‘kind’ was more so just an act. Vincent having to atone for sins that aren’t even his to begin with when she made all these conscious decisions on her own accord.

I wouldn’t say she’s evil, per se ( I mean, using your only first born child for experimenting probably should be), but she’s so incompetent. Can’t even say she failed as a mother because she practically gave up her rights to be one showing no maternal instinct what so ever. It’s like she legitimately believed all the things she told herself to the point of delusions until it was too late.

‘I’m sorry’ just don’t cut it for ruining lives.

Even with her unmeasurable regret and self-loathing, it just feels so empty considering Sephiroth killed many people and hecked things up and died. Vincent gets to constantly suffer because he also has his own self-loathing even though he was innocent through it all and now he just refers to himself as inhumane not being close to human being.
