...And now I was just invited to work on a feature film.  Seriously, I think I might have to find a seminar on de-manifestations, haha.  What's scary though is that...I'm not even close to being "happy" all the time yet and all this great stuff is happening.  Good god, what's going to happen when I AM "happy" all the time...  

Anyway, my second accepted short story will be appearing before my first accepted short story and will be out in the Fall 2013 Issue (Issue #11) of Independent Ink Magazine.  You can buy it on amazon for the kindle (whoo hoo!) and the covers are REALLY cool for their magazine (<----the real reason I sent my stuff to them /really is that shallow).  I'll put up links and stuff when it's available if anyone's interested in spending $13 (I guess the subscription is the one that's $2/month, which ends up being $6 since it's quarterly) to see what all my fussing is about.  XD  

Anyway, sorry my recent posts have just been about personal stuff...we've got a few more weeks 'til VK's out and personal stuff just keeps happening, haha.  I don't have a lot of people IRL who are interested in talking about the good things in my life yet, so I have to do it all online.  =D

I cannot freaking believe this!  Another one of my short stories has been accepted by a magazine!  This is insane and amazing and wonderful and I just don't even know how to handle it.

OMG!  A magazine picked up one of my short stories!  I can't freaking believe this!  It's so weird and awesome!

I wonder why I'm still so darned angry about this stupid story.  Every time I think about it, even after a couple months of focusing on Shingeki no Kyojin, I still get irrationally upset about it.  You'd think I'd just get over it and move on by now.  >_<  I can't even talk to my friends about it anymore, I just get that angry.  Talking isn't even cathartic anymore.

What a bummer.

Also, in other news, apparently even though Lala cut VK short, it's decided to give it a big ol' online novel series too!  Yay!  (See link above.)  Because we need more Kaname ass-kissing!  And of course the twat who wrote the light novels (which were full of Kaname ass-kissing) is writing this too!  Hurrah!  As if the world needed any more Kaname ass-kissing!

Why don't we all just have a Kaname-is-wonderful circle jerk while we're at it and call it a day, huh?  

To add insult to injury, they put Zeki up as the advertisement for this farce.  What a joke.  Just put Kaname up (with maybe half a Yuuki face since she's not even really the main character).  Unfreakingbelievable.

Also, if anyone's still wondering about when Volume 19 will be out, it won't be out 'til November or December, so we have a while to wait to see any "improvements" *snort* that may or may not be coming our way.

Oh Aku no Hana, you sucked me in again.  I can't stop thinking about that ending song.  And by god I love the rotoscoping and the character design alterations--Kasuga is so freaking adorable now.  (Loved the scene with his father at the dinner table.)

I must say, I was amused to find out that not only does the mangaka approve of the changes the anime has made, he hopes it'll be shocking to viewers expecting "moe" Aku no Hana.  Learning that totally made my night, because I was enchanted with the realistic designs and felt that they complemented the story's feel well.  Plus, J-drama acting is subpar, and if this had been done as a live action it would have been terrible.  Done rotoscope style though, the "realistic" effect is still there but the risque material can be handled deftly and without any of the awkwardness we'd see with live actors.  (And the voice acting is wonderfully natural; I actually felt like I was listening to friends chatting for once.)

I feel like I've finally found something to replace the hole in my heart left by Tatami Galaxy.  (Not to mention I feel like reading the manga again, haha.)  Here's hoping Aku no Hana stays its stellar self and doesn't crash and burn like Shin Sekai Yori.
