Just Playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Jenny O' the Woods | Justin Lacey

Monster contracts have been my favorite quests so far in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Mainly because I just want an excuse to explore the world and discover something new. Preferably that something new is a hideous new creature or foe that I’ve never had the pleasure of fighting before. It’s time to get to know Jenny O’ the Woods and hope she doesn’t want to hug it out.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released on May 19, 2014 and is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Game Curious Invisible, Inc - Not Impossible | Justin Lacey

Someone needs to spy on Klei Entertainment because I think they may have conquered another genre. Invisible, Inc. is intuitive, sneaky, and stylish. I got so caught up in the missions unfolding before me that I forgot I had time to think through my moves. The last thing I expect from a strategy title is for it to feel so fast and fluid that I make mistakes like I am playing an action game. Of course Klei thought of that, too, and threw in a rewind button for terrible spies like me.

Invisible, Inc. was released on May 12, 2015 and is available on PC, Mac, and Linux. Coming soon to PS4.

Game Curious Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - All I Need is Pipe | Justin Lacey

What a difference a year makes. I wasn't sure I wanted more Wolfenstein last year, but now I can't get enough. The Old Blood takes ol' Willy Blazko back to his roots, er, cell in Castle Wolfenstein. There's only one thing to do and we're gonna take as many Nazi corpses with us as we can. Although, I still feel bad about killing the dogs, but that dog really wanted me to get shot by that super soldier's minigun. Sorry not sorry, pooch.

Game Curious Kaiju-A-GoGo - Of Course We Have Eye Lasers | Justin Lacey

The idea of a giant monster attacking cities with reckless abandon will always get my attention because it's simple and entertaining on its own. You give me a chance to control one of those monsters and I'm gonna jump. Kaiju-A-GoGo gives me the destruction I crave along with the monster progression to make me feel more powerful with every city I encounter. However, these cities fight back and there's more than just your monster to worry about. How are you going to fund your monster creation operation? That's the important question that this game asks and its mad scientist personality combined with its base building solutions to that problem will make or break the experience for you. Sure, your kaiju can unleash hell, but it better not use up all of those resources in the attack or that city will be the last city you ever destroy.

Kaiju-A-Gogo was released on April 23, 2015 and is available on PC.

Game Curious Ziggurat - Crawl Up In My Face | Justin Lacey

I've always wanted to run into a random dungeon with spells blazin', but let's face it that's just never been a great option. Either the dungeon is too easy or your fantastical spells and weaponry are too weak. Ziggurat may have it figured out, though. It combines the polished dungeon crawler rogue-lite formula and successfully converts it into a fast and fun first person experience. It's not all action, as there is plenty of leveling up to do and items to find that will aid you in a variety of battles against minions and bosses. Others have tried this combination and failed, but my first crawl had me saying that ol' Ziggs feels pretty damn good.

Ziggurat was released on Oct 23, 2014 and is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
