@justjohnbeckett location: Acacia Heights Country Club
This place was seriously ritzy, and not in the beautiful, peaceful way of the Fae Courts, but in an embarrassing, prissy way. Human architecture was so simple, Talia mused as she strolled through the garden. Admittedly, the gardens were very well done, but flowers always had a calming effect on her. Perhaps they did that on purpose to appeal to the Fae clientele, although she sincerely doubted that. Her kind were far too mysterious for anyone to put that much thought into, and as far as she knew, no Fae owned the country club. That was probably for the best. “Hi,” she said softly to a butterfly that landed on her hand. It stayed there as she continued roaming, and begrudgingly, Talia had to admit that Acaia Heights Country Club was really growing on her.
Eventually, Talia made her way into the lounge, butterfly still on her hand. For a moment, it made her homesick, seeing the way the creature bonded with her so easily. Once upon a time, she’d have hundreds of butterflies surrounding her as she sang. “One scotch on the rocks,” she ordered as she took a seat at the bar. When she took a look at the man standing behind the bar, she groaned. “Seriously? What the hell are you doing here?” The second she got aggravated, the butterfly immediately flew off, which only irritated Talia more. She really liked that little guy! “Are you stalking me?” Sure, it’d been a couple of years, but John was still the bane of her existence. (And his biceps, they were also the bane of her existence.) "Even nature runs away from you," she muttered bitterly.
