No I had not wished Mello a happy birthday, I was much too busy,
Almost twenty minutes later--one should've guessed that that would be the case, as he'd never exactly been one for punctuality, even in the most dire of situations--found the redhead stomping through the halls of the famous Hotel Carter, both arms laden with an assortment of loaded plastic bags.
He'd made it to the third floor before he realised he'd never been given the room number.

Texting was always a chore with his gloves on, but there was no way he was about to set down any of what he was carrying just to peel one off. Instead, he opted for the route he tried to avoid as often as possible.
