Photographer/journalist James Joiner asked a few of us to take some long exposures over the next few weeks and post them on instagram, tagging them #justtakeonesecond.
Herein my first two (the second of which is a positive print of New 55, the new instant positive/negative film.) The idea is for us, the photo takers, to take a moment, step back & breathe a little, and for the viewer to maybe stop scrolling for a moment and do the same. This is an everyday occurrence for me because I use old cameras with slow old film and I'm old.
After a few weeks, some of our images will be chosen for a limited run zine -- AND we will choose some of YOURS. Just use the #justtakeonesecond hash, breathe, cough (that's what happens when I do it), and post a long exposure
All proceeds from the zine will go to 1% for the Planet.
