     ❛     what  makes  ya’  think  they  DON’T,  daddy  ??     ❜     time  spent  adapting  to  brand  -  new  father  was  going  …  surprisingly  well  for  the  little  rascal  !!  perhaps  it  had  something  to  do  with  the  weight  of  the  situation  not  being  fully  understood,  or  maybe  it  had  to  do  with  just  how  quick  to  love  trucy  was  ———  either  way,  the  only  problem  she  seems  to  be  having  now  is  getting  the  hang  of  writing  TRUCY  WRIGHT  on  the  top  of  her  schoolwork  instead  of  TRUCY  ENIGMAR  !!!

     this  was,  by  far,  her  favorite  part  of  having  the  lawyer  old  boy  as  her  new  daddy.  GROCERY  SHOPPING  with  him  was  just  so  much  fun  !!!  she  sits  in  the  cart  —  she’s  already  had  to  have  been  told  not  to  stand  in  it  three  times,  &  she’s  not  in  the  mood  to  get  grounded  tonight,  because  she’s  still  waiting  to  convince  him  to  buy  her  pringles  —  eyes  trained  on  phoenix,  wide  &  childlike.     ❛     have  you  ever  asked  a  panda  if  they  like  macaroni  ???  i  bet  they  like  macaroni  !!!  i  wanna  give  a  panda  some  macaroni  now  !!!  can  we  go  to  the  zoo  &  toss  it  to  the  pandas  ???  or  maybe  we  should  make  them  an  entire  bowl  of  mac  &  cheese,  &  see  if  they  like  it  !!!  what  do  you  think,  what  do  you  think  ???     ❜

It isn’t often that he’s behind the bar, these days, but they’re a bartender down and it isn’t as though he doesn’t have the experience; better an overqualified owner-turned-bartender mixing drinks than them being short a pair of hands, at the end of the day.

He’s making idle conversation with a regular when he notices the unfamiliar man slip into a recently vacated stool, and excuses himself from the conversation to move down the bar towards him.
