Scarlett giggles as she hugs the man. He wasn’t her real father - but he’d taken her in when she needed it most. “I missed you a lot, the trip was fun though, I met so many new people~!”

"I think you still need a bit more practice holding a knife, bud."

Ed’s eyebrows rose a bit in confusion at Maes’ comment, his attention turning to him. “What do you mean? I hold a knife just fine. Never had any issues.” He replied with a shrug, he wasn’t exactly too sure what had spurred the older male to mention his knife wielding.

"Hey bud, it's been a while."

      The moment the chimera heard him his head snapped up from where he was resting, ears angled towards the man as he saw him. Quicker than he should have, the kid pushed himself off the ground and to his feet, joints cracking a bit as he made his way over to him. Stopping in his tracks, he stared at him for just a moment, before sitting back on his haunches and wrapping his large forelegs around Maes, pulling him close and giving a soft whine as he nuzzled his large head against his chest. “I m...missed you...”
