✍ - a memory of their mother

Frisk closed their eyes as they listened to Toriel listing off snail facts. They could just stay here forever. It would be nice, wouldn’t it? They could stay in this place forever, never leaving, never dying, never hurting.

Yet, the thought distressed them. They had come to really care about Toriel. Everytime they fought, they couldn’t dare to hurt her. Not after the first time. They remembered everything about it. The colour and texture of the dust, the smell of it. They even remembered her words. They could not do it again, never again.

They would sit here and listen snail fact forever. They could handle that without giving in to their despair, couldn’t they?

↕ - a memory that may or may not have happened

They gaze out from the forest on their new-found feet, and look out at the city of Uruk. They do not understand what it is yet. To them it is nothing more than a collection of structures built by humans at the expense of the land. 

The animals of the forest tell them that they must not go there- it is dangerous. If they get close they risk being killed. And they listen.

But today they catch the glint of gold somewhere among the buildings, and they hear a voice calling for them that is not their mother’s. It shakes them to their core.

They run back to the forest. Because they are confused- because they’ve never felt this before- because they have no soul nor knowledge, and they feel an unfamiliar fear. 

Because on some instinctual level they know that if they go to that city, things will change completely, with no hope of returning to the way they once were. 

Something immense will be set in motion.

And they are not ready. Not yet.

CORAL: how my muse views the natural world

The natural world for him has always been so fascinating - the curiosity for life and all its functions has been there since he was a child, and it has been the focus of his research for many years. But there is more to scientific observation - he always views the natural world with respect, and has faith that it shall always evolve for the better.

FLUORITE: what my muse’s room looks like

Certainly nothing like a pig pen. Organization and cleanliness are two things Jade values a lot - it helps with his productivity. Save for certain books and memorabilia though, it is also rather bare: he’s not a materialistic person, and would prefer to have as little personal effects as possible.

I answered this already and for some reason it slipped out of the queue early but it’s been too long since I brought a thing back, you need to know that his voice actor sang this in the dark (golden?) ages of 90′s anime, this isn’t a headcanon at all it’s ridiculous but still–

✮ - sleeping habits

He’s… really in the habit of not getting a full night’s sleep and instead catching quick naps (well, anywhere from 15 minutes to maybe 3-4 hours at a time) whenever and wherever he can. Which is not as compatible with a normal work schedule as it was with the wild life he used to lead, and he often ends up not sleeping nearly enough here on days when he’s out being busy from dawn to… very late. When things are quiet he can fall asleep very quickly, but when there’s too much noise (specifically, people nearby) it’s more of a challenge, he’s picky and too easily distracted.

While the banchou had most certainly seen his fair share of overtly eccentric people in this city by now, it was rare to find someone who was eccentric in such a ... subtle way. Kenji had seen various kinds of non-humans and a whole load of humans with seemingly special powers. This guy he had been glancing at for a little while didn’t seem like that at all, though.

     Perhaps a little creepy, but honestly, Kenji had just been sitting around doing some people watching, guess it was time to approach this guy.

He dresses fairly casually, surprisingly enough. Though he's not a guy to 'get caught with his pants down', as the saying goes, Oleander is far from overdressed within the confines of his home. He probs bums around in those tacky Hawaiian shirts and a pair of shorts to be honest. Teach this man fashion.
