“One time I accidentally drank an entire bottle of vinegar. I thought it was terrible wine.”

at first, the very thought makes soomi cringe. only sai would be able to gulp down something without a care, assume it’s wine, and later realize the concoction he just drank was vinegar. only sai. 

“seriously? what the fuck?” her expression is a grimace, and she’s unsure if she’s disgusted or amused. something in between. “isn’t vinegar, like, highly acidic? how come your esophagus isn’t destroyed?” 

the crease between her eyebrows becomes even more prominent, because she’s... well, flabbergasted that someone is capable of actually drinking an entire bottle of vinegar, because just like most sour things, vinegar makes soomi squint and seize up, and it makes her make a very, very ugly face. but everyone’s reaction to sour things is like that, isn’t it?

“sorry, i’m just... in awe that you managed to do that. how could you think it’s wine? didn’t you have a label on it or something? what the heck, sai?”

“Don’t be a baby about it.”

        “I am not being a baby about anything!” In all honesty, the words were far more defensive than necessary, and perhaps he shouldn’t have complained to begin with—but truth be told, the whole place was creeping him out. Scary stuff had never been quite his thing, so when he and two other members had held a bet concerning the haunted house in front of him, he should have known better than to think he’d win. Now, he was stuck having to record the entire trip throughout the mansion (and boy, time was creeping by awfully slow).

With a huff, the elder watched another group of people being led into the attraction, his own heartbeat slowly starting to rise inside of his chest. Last time he had ended up inside of a building like the one in front of him, the result of it had not been one he had wished to remember (much less wish to relive). But alas, here he was, waiting until it was finally his turn to go inside and apparently driving the people around him crazy because of his nervosity. “All I’m saying is that this whole idea is stupid. What’s the use of recording the entire haunted mansion from the inside? I could as well have shown the others a video on YouTube, there’s plenty!”

Various of murmers were going around but really no one dared to speak out loud, almost as if afraid speaking would be a curse. Some were holding hands, praying for it to go by quickly while other’s were already trying to find spots to hide out in. The warning alarms were still going on outside and the time was running out. There was no leaving the building at this point, who knew what they would experience outside. It could’ve been a good idea, going out, if only they weren’t in a highly populated place that held many 10 or more story buildings. It wasn’t safe anywhere.

June was busy trying to collect herself, she didn’t know where to go or what to do and it was frightening, what made it even worse was that she was alone for as far as she knew, she had no one to cry with and no one to cling onto, she would have to go through this on her own. And although she was a relatively mentally strong person, this went beyond what she could possibly handle alone. 

They were warned to hide out underneath something stable, to hide from any possible falling objects, which seemed like a good idea. And so she remembered how she’d come here, by car. Immediately she figured it was best to get to a familiar envoirement where she could hide out safely. So she’d snapped out of her thoughts and turned around to get to the ground floor where she had parked her car. 

Although she had reached the right floor, it was too late at that point, she could feel the ground starting to shake underneath her feet and immediately let herself fall down to curl up near the side of a car, in hope to at least be somewhat safe, she couldn’t quite remember where she had parked her own car so to get there now, wouldn’t be safe. And now the shaking started to increase, though this would only be the beginning.

She’d pressed her teeth together, trying to keep herself from moving and making any weird pained sounds as the male was infecting the wounds on her knees. After stumbling down the stairs and scratching herself open onto the stone tiles, the male had come from now where it seemed, to help her out. And though she was grateful, it was hard to do as he said as wiggling was her only way to deal with the pain. ‘Sorry.’ She’d let out through gritted teeth.
