They say that captive orca are ambassadors for their species. To teach people about them and their life...But the ambassadors they have now lead a completely different life - its not the same as their wild counterparts. Namu even technically completed the ambassador job back in 1965 to teach humans about orca. This argument to keep captive orca in continued captivity is pointless in my opinion.
You want an ambassador that promotes the species and shows their intelligence- teach people about Baby Stumpy. Or Juvie Stumpy - they will inspire people more than a spectacular show.
These two teach us so much about orca- and they haven't even been observed and researched properly. (Baby Stumpy / Juvie Stumpy)
