the dog felix had been following for the passed fifteen minutes had finally come to a stop, in the middle of the walkway, not looking particularly upset about being away from their owner. this goose chase had not been what he signed up for when he asked the pup to lead him back to their owner, but he was already so invested in the dog’s well-being felix couldn’t bare to just leave him alone in the middle of the park. squatting beside the pup, they engaged in a staring contest until a shadow lingered over them. “is this your dog?” he asked, looking up at the cause of the shadow. what he hadn’t expected was to have to crane his neck so far. “this is ridiculous.” he muttered, raising a hand to shield his eyes from the sun to get a better glimpse at who was towering over him. “i’ve been out here with him for thirty minutes, where have you been?”
