Description for the video: "In a world where Equestria lies in ruins, devastated by lava and crystal, ponies and other creatures are succumbing to corruption at the hands of the two goddesses. Among this chaos, there is a ghostly spectator who reflects on the once-proud Equestria now turned into a land of destruction. She mourns the lives lost and the souls corrupted by the former princesses of the Sun and the Moon. Her name is Spotlight Star."

Meet Spotlight Star, my MLP Alicorn OC, depicted as a spectator inspired by the "Infinite Eclipse" MLP AU (don't know if it's an AU universe) universe created by @JycRow. The idea of Spotlight becoming a spectator originated from a role in an Infinite Eclipse Discord server (not the official one), specifically a role-playing server called "Spectator." Other roles included "Molten," "Crystalized," "UEP," and others.

Initially, I thought about creating a character that was a blend of Molten and Crystalized. Still, after discussing it with someone I’ve been talking to on Discord through direct messages and on the IE RP Discord server, they expressed doubt about the feasibility of such a character fitting into the story. However, I believe it's always good to imagine possibilities, and I might still bring this idea to life (in an AU universe of Infinite Eclipse) even if it’s not part of the official narrative. (in a possible future music video…?)

As a backup plan, I considered another possibility: what if Spotlight became a spirit-like spectator after perishing in an explosion caused by Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon's transformations into goddesses? In this scenario, she would roam around Equestria, which has now transformed into a landscape of lava and crystal. She would mourn the lives that were lost or corrupted by the goddesses while the remaining survivors struggle to save their home, which has been devastated by these powerful beings.

This music piece you are currently listening to originated in 2022, inspired by the concept of Spotlight Star being a ghostly spectator from the Infinite Eclipse roleplaying Discord server. I also wanted to create my own music influenced by Infinite Eclipse. The thumbnail depicting Spotlight as a spirit was inspired by Starclan from the Warrior book series (yes, I've been reading them!). The cats' spirits have white outlines, lighter fur, specks of stars surrounding them, and, sometimes, as seen in fan art, stars in their eyes.

For "Fallen Star," I wanted to include some narration, so I wrote a brief narrative that portrays the fate of Equestria and Spotlight herself when Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon transformed into Nerath and Aqasha. I sought someone to provide the narration, and Sparkplug from the Infinite Eclipse Discord server volunteered. We communicated via direct messages, where I provided her with the lines to read. I later updated the narration and gave Sparkplug ample time to prepare. What you are hearing now is the final result of "Fallen Star." I hope you enjoy this Infinite Eclipse-inspired music piece!

now that i've finished college, i can finally share these! these are my capstone projects i did during my senior year; two final projects utilizing what i've learned over the years. these were a blast and challenging to complete as i'm a huge perfectionist. but they really helped me learn that not everything has to be great or perfect, just get that idea out there and continue on!

i definitely hope to continue making more animations/capstones in the future :D

Infinite Eclipse

I had the idea for this drawing when I first listened to Jyc Row's song, Primordial Sacrifice which is amazing, highly recommend!

Crystallized Mew

"Hear her whispered call... and into her madness you shall fall... feel her icy chill... soon you'll find that you have no choice but to do her will. Rise her crystal army rise! Give into the darkness in your minds! Rise her crystal army rise! For shadow and for empire they'll die..." This is my drawing of a Crystallised Mew, possessed by Nerath, the Goddess of Nightmares. I made the flesh around the crystals look necrotic, like an infection spreading through diseased flesh. After all I do enjoy a bit of body horror 😸 I enjoyed painting this and thought a Pokémon/My Little Pony fanwork crossover would be awesome. Maybe I should draw a Molten Mew next 🤩 Also would Shadow Mewtwo be part of The Crystallized? He already has a crystal jutting out of his chest and has that calm, cold aura about him. Nerath and The Crystallized are My Little Pony fan characters created by Jyc Row. I highly recommend watching their Infinite Eclipse videos on YouTube 🥰
