Wonshik’s still unsure how he’s in one of the nicer restaurants in Seoul, dressed as nicely as if he were about to leave for a contest or something even more formal. Sure, yeah, he was the one who dressed himself, and no one forced him here, but he’s not sure what it was that let himself be talked into this blind… date.
He still thinks his coworkers were possibly just messing with him until there is in fact a reservation with his name on it when he shows up--the hostess didn’t tell him the other name on the reserve other than to let him know he’s the first here (a detail that surprises him, but he is remarkably early for once). Part of him would rather not know who the other is; if he’s going to entertain this nonsense, he might as well entertain it fully and wait to see the person they’re set him up with whenever they arrive.
The white leather jacket he’s wearing felt rather excessive outside but he’s glad for it as he adjusts his position in the nice dining chair; restaurants like these always keep their rooms so chilly, but he supposes it makes sense with how long it stays hot now. Despite himself he’s rather excited--he doesn’t do dating, he keeps telling himself, this is just something to placate his coworkers, but he’s still curious after all their vague hints about his date… Some things about “flexible” and “strong” and “athletic” and “renowned in more than one aspect” with saucy winks from more than one of the people who set him up (and these are supposedly not the people in the erotica industry) made him splutter, but he wants to know what kind of person he should be expecting. He doesn’t even know their gender (which he supposes doesn’t particularly matter to him) but should he be expecting someone as tall as him? Some kind of bodybuilder, maybe? Perhaps they meant some kind of mental strength, but the writer in him makes his imagination run wild as he looks away, making him all the more startled when he realizes someone’s approaching the table.
The man is… shorter than he would have expected… and somewhat familiar looking?
He stands, jolting his chair a bit as he offers his hand to his apparent blind date.
“Hi, uh… I guess I’m your blind date? I’m Wonshik?”
What’s that question in your voice, Kim Wonshik?
“I mean... I’m Wonshik. It’s been… a while since I’ve done this kinda thing. I… wasn’t expecting--ah, um. Nice to meet you.”
Always can pride yourself on your smooth introductions, can’t you, dude?
