Can I ask for a Jyuto/reader and prompt #31 from the kisses prompt?
It took a while, but here it is!!
31. Pulling away from a kiss, whispering words of love against each other’s lips.
_
Jyuto’s daily life starts punctually at 6 A.M. He’s fast to turn off his alarm just so it won’t wake you up. And before he gets up, he gives you the sweetest look, which you can’t see because you’re still asleep.
He finally gets up. He goes to the bathroom and takes a quick shower. He’d like to take a cold shower to help himself to wake up but he can’t stand cold water, so he takes a hot one. He fixes his hair afterwards, and when he’s back to your shared room with only a towel around his waist you’re starting to wake up. He doesn’t notice he’s being stared at as he puts on his boxers, socks, trousers and button up shirt, but it’s not like he would mind.
Jyuto leaves the room and goes to the kitchen. He prepares the blackest coffee for himself, not planning to add neither cream nor sugar. He can hear your footsteps as you leave the bed and goes to the shower to repeat the same steps he did, and he smiles, thinking he’ll see you soon. As he waits for the coffee to get ready, he picks up his phone hesitantly, hoping to not start the day with any bad news from the office or from the world in general. Seems like today is gonna be a good day, though, because the worst thing that happened was a message from Rio saying he saved Samatoki from being arrested again and made Jyuto’s job a little easier. Jyuto smiled.
Once his coffee is ready, he pours himself a cup and sits down at the table.
When you arrive at the kitchen, he knows better than to greet you. He knows you’re not fully awake before your morning latte and he knows any words like “Good morning” will be replied with a grunt. He smiled fondly as he stared at his phone, reading a news website.
You get Jyuto’s coffee from the coffee maker and mix just a little of it with milk and sugar. When you’re done, you sit in front of him at the table, and starts sipping your latte. You break the silence a couple of minutes later.
“Any chance of you coming home earlier today?” You ask.
“You know how Ichijiku is, she really doesn’t like when I skip work. But I can try.”
“Please, try! I’ll be home by 5 P. M. today!”
“Any special reason?”
“It’s my boss’ birthday so he’ll throw a party instead of working and it’s gonna end earlier.”
“Oh, how nice.”
“Right?”
You start talking cheerfully, and Jyuto pays attention to every word, even though his replies are short, and sometimes just nods. He enjoys hearing you talk, and he finds it funny how your mood changes after just a cup of of latte.
After a while, both of you finish your drinks, and Jyuto goes back to your room to finish dressing. You still have time, so you wait for him by the entrance door, ready to give him a goodbye kiss.
When he’s about to open the door, you hold him by his waist and waits for him to turn around, which he does very soon. You kiss him. But it’s not just a quick peck on the lips like you usually do in the morning, it’s a full on kiss. You slide your tongue into his mouth and he reciprocates it willingly, putting an arm around your waist and his gloved hand on your face.
The kiss stops, but your faces are still close.
“I’ll try to come back earlier,” he says.
“Thank you,” you reply. And kiss him again.
When he tries to pull away you push him back and he smiles against your lips. You kiss for over a minute, or so it feels like, and then he withdraws again, but he’s still close enough that you can feel his breath on your lips.
“I love you,” he says.
Your heart skips a bit. It’s always like the first time. You feel like the luckiest person in the world when he says those three words.
“I love you too,” you reply in earnest.
You kiss again, this time is just a quick peck. He says his goodbyes and leaves the apartment.
You’re left alone with your heart feeling warm and comforted. You really are the luckiest person in the world.
