Damn nice of you to offer, thank you! Unfortunately I’m having trouble finding what I need - I can’t find either a model to work from or a good set of measurements to create my own.
How does one match a pair of Colts... With a pair of Smith's of crouse... Picked up a great Pre-War Smith & Wesson 38/44 Heavy Duty in 38 special. The gun was originally designed to shot a very hot version of the 38 special that was used as the basis for the .357 magnum. The 38/44 Heavy Duty is seen on top and the K Frame Model 19 is seen on the bottom.
So I picked up my first Magnum Revolver, a classic Smith & Wesson Model 19. I traded a guy for a Webley Mark IV in .38 S&W. He replaced the original factory wood grips with those ugly looking rubber one in the top picture. But being as I work at a gunshop that takes in a lot of use stuff I found two pairs of original wood grips for K-frame Smith & Wesson and after a little TLC the old Model 19 is looking classy again.
