Since I love asking people what their opinions are, what do you think of MilSpec 1911's for Self Defense.

Honestly, I’m not really a fan of any 1911 for self-defense. 9x19 is really your best option for self-defense because it hits the sweet spot of manageable recoil, good capacity, and enough energy to stop a threat but if you’re dead-set on .45 AARP then at least get something modern like an FN or HK for the bigger magazine.
