Running Promo Story :)
Hey Val! For the promo, here’s my story:
About 5 years ago, I used to run an average of 10K every other day, and I absolutely loved it. However, a couple of days after my 17th birthday, I was admitted into the hospital because I had severe pneumonia.
I spent 2 weeks in the hospital, one of them intubated in the ICU, and because of that I stopped running for a long time.
When I was well enough to run, I’d lost interest in it, because it meant starting from zero again, and the fact that my body wasn’t responding the way I wanted it to made me so unmotivated. It wasn’t until a little over a year ago that I decided to really commit and get back into it; I think it helps that I’m older and more patient and mature, because now I’m finally running 5K nonstop again.
It’s half of what I used to run, and doesn’t hold a candle to some of the incredible fitblrs on here, but I’m very proud of myself for it. :)
Thank you!!

You should be VERY PROUD OF YOURSELF, Karla. Starting over from zero is SO HARD. It can make you just want to cry every time you try, because you remember where you used to be. I’m so proud of you for trying again, for not giving up completely. Keep looking ahead, not behind … you’re not running that way. :)
