He remembered, too, the pride and confidence that had come with fulfilling exactly the duties he was designed for - with knowing that ever servomotor and ever processing cycle contributed to enforcing his Imperial masters’ edicts. Cassian had denied him that exquisite sense of purpose and replaced it with individuality. With individuality came doubt and cynicism: an awareness not only of the odds of success or failure but of those outcomes’ repercussions. 

Cassian had killed K-2SO and brought him back both smaller and larger than he had been.
