Great night last night at Lost Souls magazine’s event The Horror of Care with readings by Kaaron Warren, J. Ashley-Smith, Ben O’Mara, and Aaron Dries with MC @fionnmacpherson and music by Jenny Sawer at Gang Gang cafe! All the stories were incredible and it was an absolute privilege to listen to Ben’s nonfiction piece 🖤 🖤 🖤 It was fun chatting with people too!

May I personally recommend Tide of Stone and Bitters (Bitters isn't on her bibliography for some reason but it's a novella and it's... amazing) for just some... deeply gross and disturbing stuff that will stay with you and make you think FOREVER.
ALL of her work is amazing however. Just a visceral sense of place and emotion. I swear I can SMELL some of her works.
Any way I love Australian horror an unreasonable amount and Kaaron is absolutely the queen of it.
