Who did it better?
@kabedont
“Are... you staring at me?”
Asahi fidgets where he stands, glancing away not long after asking the question. An honest question, considering it feels like she’s been staring his way for an eternity and a half.
@kabedont ;
In this moment, Minato wished that he did not see a thing. Slowly approaching, he crouched down and placed his hands on his knees. “What are you doing on the floor, Kasai-san?”

❛ uh. you okay down there? ❜
@kabedont from here.
MEME | ACCEPTING. Send “DONT” to pin my muse against the wall to prevent them from LEAVING.
don’t what? She isn’t quite sure how to react. Not at first, anyways. It isn’t as though he had any reason to stop her, right? It wasn’t like they were going to be FRIENDS anymore, right? It was her fault. She knows that of course it’s her fault. ( Isn’t it always? ) Him leaving had always been a part of the equation and she knew this, but somehow she had forgotten.
So she shouldn’t have been angry with him. Shouldn’t have yelled at him the way that she had because it wasn’t HIS fault he had to leave, right?
Back to somewhere that she wasn’t. Where she couldn’t bother him. ( It had never been a secret to her that he was going to LEAVE, she reminds herself. ) He was going to go somewhere that he would forget all about her. She doesn’t look up. Don’t what? Don’t go? Why? Why shouldn’t she leave? He was stopping her from leaving and she didn’t know why. She wanted to hit him and she didn’t know why. She shouldn’t be mad. She shouldn’t even have been avoiding him in the first place. ( He was still here, wasn’t he? ) “Did you need something?”
He’s not good at being yelled at. His hands tremble a little and there’s a pulse in his neck that betrays his speeding pulse and the nerves that fire at the slightest hint of raised voices. Yu knows that Shun is noisy sometimes -- hell, he knew it from the moment that they met -- but fear is hard to grow out of, even at his age.
Not angry, no, but there’s a deep-seated sort of emotion that makes Yu’s breath shiver as a second ticks by, and then two. There’s something he saw in Shun’s eyes when they flashed -- something in her anger that struck a surprising, resonating chord in his ribs. I’M LEAVING, it said back, clear and clean and round as a bell. Of course he’s leaving, and how often has he kept in touch with his friends? Never, but...
Why are his hands shaking so much? Yu forces himself to lessen his grip on his friend’s shoulders, but there’s still a childlike, scared roundness to his eyes that is at such odds from his usual expression. ( What was he doing? What’s he so afraid of? )
“Kasai ... Even when I go--” ( and it hurts to say when, so he has to swallow the lump that rises in his throat) “--we’ll still be friends.” Desperation bordering on madness, but above all that there’s something burning in his eyes, too. “Definitely.”
@kabedont.
❛ please, what is this creature called? i’ve never seen anything like it. WAH! look at it! it’s licking me! wow....truly amazing... ❜
