In Hebrew, the word Kabod is used to refer to His weight-the weight of Glory, the weight of His Love, the weight of His peace. However, His weight is light & easy to carry compared to our weights & burdens. He promises that if we come to Him, we will find much easier weight to carry than the weight of the world (Matthew 11:28-29). Likewise, if we focus on our circumstances, we can’t experience God’s Kabod. If we’re focusing our attention on a problem or a struggle, we can become weighed down by fear & anxiety. When this happens, we must redirect our attention back to God. Nature can help us do this. When we look to the skies & take the time to consider that God in fact created all of this down to the last molecule, the full weight of His glory & power hits us, leaving us in awe & wonder. We realize that He is in control. He knows what He’s doing. He placed each star where they’re at so we could see them & be amazed. Just like He placed the stars, He placed you where you are with a purpose: to give Him glory. We may not always feel as beautiful as a sunset, but our Creator is the same. He will not abandon us to flounder in circumstances, especially ones beyond our control. He has a plan.
