"Wait, you and mom got engaged?!" Rigel asked over breakfast, seeing his dad's shiny new engagement ring.
The kids were in bed when Kade and Mallory came home from their date last rotation, so the news of their upcoming marriage hadn't reached the children's ears yet.
"Yeah, looks like it," Kade said with an awkward smile.
"How many years have you been together? It's about time!" Iris exclaimed happily. "I'm so excited! It'll be awesome!"
Orion was very close to learning how to walk when she went for her nap, so Kade didn't think it'd be too difficult to get her there now that she was in a better mood.
He barely had to do much, putting her down onto the rainbow rug and holding out his arms.
Orion ran right toward him, a big smile on her green face.
Kade had a secret plan for tonight though.
What Mallory thought was just going to be a fun night out turned into a surprise proposal. After over a decade together, it was about time he popped the question!
Of course Mallory said 'yes', turning their great date into a dream date!
They were officially engaged!

It doesn't cost Sims anything to get in, and they could easily go an entire outing without paying a thing, but between vending machine sales and simoleons received from giving her speech at the beginning of the day, Daniela did end up making back about 90 or so simoleons.
I won't be showing the entire build just yet as I want to wait for more donations to add some finishing touches - and maybe even a full extension for a little wedding chapel.

Kade was up early to give his youngest child a bath, 'cause she had an accident during the night and was very stinky.
It was going to be one of those days for Kade, who was running on half an energy bar. It was his own fault for spending so long stargazing though.

Time to wrap up another uneventful household, with Kade doing some stargazing at 3AM.
He actually discovered a previously unknown star, so Iris may be getting her own bedroom sooner rather than later - once they paid for a wedding, of course.
So far Year 33 has definitely lacked in drama all-around, but we're not done yet! It's time to check in on the Goran-Bells, where Eliana will be aging up into an adult, and Trixie will be giving birth!
Exhaustion won out in the end.
Orion was too cranky to learn anything, and instead was put to bed for a much needed nap.
"That's what happens when you're waking us all up at 4AM," Kade said to her as he kissed the top of her head. "If you don't age up with the Night Owl trait, I'm gonna be shocked."
Once again, it was just Kade and Orion at home throughout the majority of the day.
Orion already knew how to walk, but she still needed to learn her two other toddler skills, so that was what they did.
A bit of learning how to talk, a bit of potty training...
"Nu uh," she kept insisting the whole time, not about to make it easy on her dad.
Her older siblings were the smart, serious ones. She was max playful.
