Orion was very close to learning how to walk when she went for her nap, so Kade didn't think it'd be too difficult to get her there now that she was in a better mood.

He barely had to do much, putting her down onto the rainbow rug and holding out his arms.

Orion ran right toward him, a big smile on her green face.

Rigel's birthday went by without too much of a fuss, mostly because everyone was in a terrible mood, including the birthday boy himself.

In the end, only Mallory and little Orion had enough energy to stay awake, hanging out together in the living room and doing some work on Orion's toddler skills.

Kade was up early to give his youngest child a bath, 'cause she had an accident during the night and was very stinky.

It was going to be one of those days for Kade, who was running on half an energy bar. It was his own fault for spending so long stargazing though.

Anyway, welcome to the Everett Family, we're jumping right in!

"I guess it's just you and me tonight," Mallory said to Orion. "What should we do? Hm?"

Everyone else in the household was too tired to do anything, even Kade.

Mallory kind of wanted to go shopping for a wedding dress with Iris, but that'd have to wait until tomorrow.

Tonight, she was having fun with her other daughter!

Exhaustion won out in the end.

Orion was too cranky to learn anything, and instead was put to bed for a much needed nap.

"That's what happens when you're waking us all up at 4AM," Kade said to her as he kissed the top of her head. "If you don't age up with the Night Owl trait, I'm gonna be shocked."

Once again, it was just Kade and Orion at home throughout the majority of the day.

Orion already knew how to walk, but she still needed to learn her two other toddler skills, so that was what they did.

A bit of learning how to talk, a bit of potty training...

"Nu uh," she kept insisting the whole time, not about to make it easy on her dad.

Her older siblings were the smart, serious ones. She was max playful.

Rigel wasn't impressed with Eliana, and she didn't seem to like him much either, but little Orion had no problem getting in the teenager's good graces.

She clearly liked toddlers more than kids.

The two were smitten with each other and ended up playing all night - even after the older two kids had gone to bed.

Orion didn't know any of her toddler skills, but unlike Alma and Chester Fraser, she wasn't aging up at 6PM tonight.

She was also the only toddler in the household, so her dad was able to give her plenty of one-on-one attention.

Still, that wasn't always enough. A break was in order... Orion needed a midmorning nap, and Kade needed to clean up the house.
