Night Game (@kagamine-kun)
Whoosh. Whoosh. A heavy metal object swung through the air.
It was a warm summer evening, the sky a deep blue, the buzzing of cicadas and crickets filling the air. In a small fenced-in cage off to the side of a deserted baseball field, a girl swung an aluminum bat over and over again, practicing her swing. The floodlights high above the field provided a source of light that was almost blinding, the white shapes of insects visible around them. After warily watching the progress of what appeared to be a large moth high above the field, the girl lowered the bat to her side and strode across to the far side of the cage, switching on a pitching machine.
Her uniform, an expensive purchase, was emblazoned with the word GIANTS in black and outline in orange across her chest. A dark helmet on her head hid her red hair. The pitching machine hummed to life, and CUL swung her bat, smashing the ball into the fence.
