2020: the year we all grew.
It was a year of unfortunate events in many different aspects - the pandemic, unjust systems, and mental health challenges. Regardless of that, many blessings came to me: I learned to cook other dishes, lessened and even stopped the use of some social media sites, cut off people, graduated SHS virtually, healed from surgery, pushed through ADMU (survived sem 1), siblings became licensed professionals, celebrated the holidays with my family (last year, we were literally far scattered in the different parts of the world) and most especially, making this channel public. I started in 2016, showed it mid-2020.
Nonetheless, Youtube (also Tumblr and my journal) has become my outlet. Twitter is currently out of the picture. Instagram, quite. Along with the new year, I turned a year older. It's definitely a time for me to reflect (once again) of what has passed.
One of the lessons I learned: we all have a threshold point - we stop doing the things that give us anxiety, pressure, suffering, and sadness especially when we realize our value. It is when we know how to manage the situations we cannot control and find ways to make them meaningful. Sometimes, when we think it's over, it's actually the beginning of something beautiful.
Seek growth, despite the absence of comfort.
