"Where is my helmet?"

Todoroki stood in front of the stone dais where his war helmet usually rested and frowned at the empty space. The helm was made of fused cobalt and gold, and a hematite sphere overrun with veins of carnelian sat embedded just above the brow plating. It had been given to him after becoming a god many centuries before—and never left its dais, unless it was upon Todoroki's head.

From across the great hall, Yaoyorozu tore her gaze away from her book long enough to glance over at him. "It was just there yesterday. Did you leave it in your room?"

"But he never takes it off and doesn't put it back," Jirō input from her spot at the long oak dining table. "I bet Kaminari or Sero took it again."

"Again?" Todorki shot her a look before pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation. "Never mind... Just lend me your Seeing Stone, Kyoka."

"Just because you lost your Artifact doesn't give you the right to borrow mine," Jirō said matter-of-factly. "Besides, I think we all already know who took it."

"That damn warlock Shigaraki again?" Todoroki clicked his tongue. "Kaminari only just recovered his spear, and it was gone for nearly an entire moon cycle! How long will it take me to get the helm back?" He slammed a fist against the dais hard enough to crack it. "We need to put an end to that wizard's reign of annoyance.”
