Allies: Kagetane Hiruko x Reader

You looked around the dark forest cautiously before eyeing the note again. This was the place he said to meet.

So where was he?

“Finally found your way I see.” a playful voice said from behind.

You immediately spun around and pointed your gun at the voice, coming face to mask with Kagetane.

“Now, now” he said, putting his hands up in defense. “I’m not looking to fight.”

“Where is my initiator?” You growled. “Where is Yoko?!”

“Patience, my dear. You’ll get your little initiator back...if you do as I say.”

You glowered at the masked man. As much as you hated him, he had your initiator, so you had to keep your temper under control. ‘What do you want?” you said coldly.

“For starters you can out your gun down.” he said.

You stared at him for a moment before slowly putting your gun on the ground.

Though Kagetane’s face was hidden by the mask, somewhere deep down you could tell he was grinning behind it. “That’s better. Now I have a proposition for you.”

You gave him a suspicious look. “What is it?” you asked quietly.

Kagetane looked down at you, his beady yellow eyes showing through his mask. “I’d like to team up with you Miss (F/n) (l/n).” he said casually. “I find myself in need of an ally, you see.”

You were horrified. “What?! Partner up with you?!”

“Of course.” Kagetane said. “I could use someone like you on my side. Your friend Satomi rejected my humble bribe, so this time I decided to try a new method.”

“You mean kidnapping Yoko?!” you barked at him.

“My, my...you do have a soft spot for her.” he mused. “Fear not, Yoko shan’t be harmed if you just accept my offer and assist me in my plans.”

You swallowed, but kept a glare in your eyes. “And...if I say no?” you asked, although you already knew the answer.

Kagetane’s eyes shined brightly, the smile on his mask strangely seeming more menacing than a minute ago.

“Then we cut Yoko in half.”

Your breath hitched. Yoko was everything to you. She was all you had...You couldn’t lose her. “Fine.” you said finally. “I’ll be your ally if you don’t harm Yoko.”

“I knew you’d see things my way, darling.” he said. “Well then, we best be on our way.” Without warning, Kagetane scooped you up bridal style before jumping high into the air and landing on a tree branch, quickly leaping to the next one and so on.
