My friend went thru a lot of vocal issues when she became a teacher. You may need to get something looked at, but it may just be a need to take a few vocal lessons on how to properly speak without strain!

Problem is actually that this is for the pre-employment test and if they dare say that this is something that existed BEFORE I started teaching I will set something on fire because the hint of a nodule I had the day of the original test cannot have been caused by anything BUT teaching in the first place (for THEM, I mean, they ran the test 42 days AFTER I started teaching)

So it is actually the red tape, the constant feeling that I need to defend myself against a system that is trying to find a fault in me, as if I didn’t simply DO THE JOB I AM PAID TO DO.

I’m assuming it will be. Probably B&N will be offering an .epub version, and HMH has numerous other ebook partners such as Scribd.

Kagoashes

A couple of people on my dash are telling why they have their (distinct) usernames.

Mine is about 10-12 years old.

Way way back in the angst ridden middle school days, I was super into Sailor Moon, and I had an enabling cousin who was given way more internet access and spending money for Japanese subtitled episodes.

Which means I vaguely picked up some Japanese, most of which I have forgotten.

ANYWAY.

She and I were trying to find something more original than SailorVLover827 for my screenname, and she took me to a Japanese name website, and I picked out the name Kago, because the website (vaguely erroneously) listed it as having the double meaning of "angelically protected" and "basketcase". Again, mostly erroneously.

So that's the first part.

The second bit came from, and I kid you not, an angsty middle school reading of Fire and Ice by good old Robert Frost, and I got like, super angstily into it, as well as, oh yes, super into Buffy/Angel at the time, so I got all "THEWORLDWILLENDANGSTILYINASHESLIKEMYSOUL" about it, and picked Ashes up as the second half of my online handle.

There's a livejournal, an AIM handle, a xanga, and a tumblr under it now. The twitter account I shifted to my real name because, well, it's the most public bit of me.

The livejournal and xanga may still exist to the public, but I warn you: it's a lot of angst, and a lot of angst that went on for too long about things that I don't even always remember anymore.

I don't know what this is but Lauren tagged me so I guess I'll answer these questions....

1. Who’s your favorite Avenger and why?

Hmm if we're just talking Avenger here and not about actors or anything (and I'm assuming we're going with movie-verse here with just the knowledge that they've presented us with considering not everyone has extensive knowledge of all their backgrounds like Lauren and I do hahaha)....I'd have to say Steve. Tony's a close second though just because he actuallyisa good person inside, but his asshole-ery gets in the way and Steve is just so awesome all the time.

2. What was your favorite show as a kid?

Oh god....Full House I guess? Either that or Family Matters. Some family friendly show like that I guess.

3. Do you have a zombie apocalypse plan?

I do not but I think most of my friends do and I'm assuming they love me enough to include me in them so I'm basically relying on them hahaha

4. What’s the best book you’ve ever read?

If we're doing a stand-alone book, it'd have to be Song of Soloman. It was for school but I just loved how it was developed and the way it was written. As a series, probably Harry Potter hahaha

5. What house would you be in at Hogwarts?

Pottermore says I'm a Ravenclaw but I'm pretty sure I'd be Slytherin or Hufflepuff. I only say Slyth because I can be a huge bitch sometimes and spin my words very easily. But then again I'm not exactly like the characteristics the Sorting Hat describes for Gryff, Rav, or much of Slyth so I kinda think I'd be grouped with the rest in Huff.

7. What’s your most prized material possession?

Hmmm probably my panda stuffed animal. I've had it for probably about 15 years. My dad used to always bring us back presents when he went places for business and that time he was in China. Idk why but that panda has kinda stuck with me.

8. You win a thousand dollars. What’s the first thing you buy?

Only a thousand? I wouldn'tbuyanything, I'd just pay off my loans. Lame I know, but hey whatever.

9. What’s your favorite quote?

There's so many! But I think I have to go with "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world." I can't remember when or how I heard it, but I've been saying it for years and it just makes me smile hahaha Oh! I also love my own copyrighted quote of "The only constant in life is change" ;D

10. If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Water for sure.
